Traverse City Baseball Hosts Pit Spitters Playoffs

It’s a historic night at Pit Spitters Park near Traverse City! The Pit Spitters baseball team wants you to be there to enjoy it.

The Pit Spitters are hosting Kalamazoo in their first-ever home playoff game. And it comes during the first-ever season for the franchise.

The General Manager says it’s been an exciting first year for the coaches, players, and the fans, but it’s not over yet. Major league scouts will be on hand tonight to watch the college-age players, who are hoping to get noticed, according to GM Mickey Graham.

The team off the field has been busy behind the scenes selling game tickets and getting everything ready for the team’s first home playoff appearance.

The first 1,000 fans through the gates will get a Pit Spitters rally towel to help cheer the team on to a win. And the team wants all fans to wear red to the park to support the team.
