MSU Says Infestation of Larva is Hurting Hop Crops
Experts say an insect infestation is hurting Michigan hop crops.
Experts believe larva of the European corn borer is what’s hurting the crops, by tunneling inside the plant.
Michigan State University says hops were doing well until July.
They say the infestation will mean serious crop losses.
MSU is working to positively confirm the European corn borer as the culprit.
