‘The Wex’ Receives Grant to Aid Dehumidifier Replacement

Boon Sports Management earned a grant to help make much needed upgrades at the Wexford County Civic Center.

They received $7,500 from the Cadillac and Kellogg for Youth Fund.

The money will be used to help replace the ice arena dehumidifier.

The Wex has been working to raise money to replace the dehumidifier and make several other upgrades to the building.

This grant puts them one step closer.

“Being a senior this year in the hockey team that really meant a lot because I grew up playing hockey here, I played here for years, so it felt really good to be able to give back and help out the next generation of hockey players,” said Ian Lilly, a member of the Youth Advisory Committee.
