Protestors Clash With Police in Hong Kong, Tear Gas Fired into Crowds & Metro Station

Dangerous protest continue in Hong Kong Monday morning after a weekend of violent demonstrations.

Flash mob style protests erupted in the early hours of the morning.

The protesters blocked off streets, but protesters were immediately met with heavy police presence.

Police worked quickly to disperse the demonstrators, firing tear gas into crowds and in the metro station.

Protest began nine weeks ago, fighting a controversial extradition bill. The bill was pronounced “dead” after extreme pressure from citizens to scrap it, and now protesters are fighting for democratic elections, the resignation of Chief Executive Carrie Lam, the release of arrested protestors and an investigation into police brutality displayed during demonstrations.
