Lt. House Named Michigan State Police Houghton Lake Post Commander

There are changes coming to a state police post in Northern Michigan.

First Lieutenant Travis House has been named post commander to the Houghton Lake State Police Post.

He is taking over as post commander after Josh Lator took over the Mount Pleasant State Police Post last month.

As post commander, House will be the leader of the post that oversees Crawford, Kalkaska, Missaukee and Roscommon counties.

He first started with state police back in 1998 after graduating from Northwestern Michigan College and Mesick High School.
