Muskegon Police Department Investigating Officer’s Links to K.K.K

The Muskegon Police Department is investigating a white officer for alleged links to the Ku Klux Klan.

The investigation started after Officer Charles Anderson put his house up for sale.

A potential home buyer, who is African American, says they saw a framed K.K.K. application inside.

The department is now investigating and has placed Anderson is on paid leave.

The county prosecutors say the result could re-open an investigation into a 2009 shooting incident which killed an African American man.

Anderson shot and killed Julius Johnson following a traffic stop.

The two got in a fight and Anderson said he was afraid for his life.

Anderson was later cleared.
