USA Today names Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel ‘Best All-Inclusive Resort’

Northern Michigan’s own Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island has been named one of the best in the entire country by USA Today.

The Grand Hotel took first place in America’s best All-Inclusive Resort and sixth place in for Best Historic Hotels.

The publication highlights the iconic hotel, which opened in 1887 as a summer vacation destination for people from Chicago, Montreal, and Detroit.

The top 20 nominees in each category were picked by a USA Today panel.

The top 10 winners were then selected by popular vote.

This is the fourth straight year the Grand Hotel has been listed on the Ten Best List historic hotels.
