We have a very special birthday to announce today…meet Jeffrey!
He turns 12 this weekend.
Jeffrey is a dromedary camel at in New Era.
They will be throwing a birthday bash for him on Saturday, and they’re inviting everyone out for the fun.
Brand Ambassador Jenny Ferels says there will be birthday cake, music, an all you can eat corn roast and many more family-friendly activities.
“In a small town like New Era, when a camel moves in it’s kind of a big thing so every year since his first birthday we’ve thrown him a birthday party,” she says. “It’s turned into a really fun, big community event. Everybody gets together. We sing Jeffrey happy birthday. He eats the first piece of birthday cake and then we have cake and ice cream for all of his guests.”
Jeffrey’s party starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lewis Farms & Petting Zoo in New Era.
