Hook and Hunting: Fifth Annual Foster Care Fishing Tournament

This weekend is not only a chance to reel in $1,200, but also help out foster children and families.

This Saturday on Lake Missaukee is the Fifth Annual Foster Care Fishing Tournament.

All the money raised from the event goes towards foster kids and families.

There is a five fish limit for anglers and whoever reels in the five heaviest bass walks away with the $1,200 grand prize.

“Normally there is 30 to 40 boats participating. Joe said there is already 26 signed up. So they should right, right be on the same number as previous years. It looks like it’s going to be a good weekend so get out and enjoy it on the water,” said Tournament Sponsor, Brad Cox.

The tournament runs from 7 a.m. and all boats have to be back at the dock by 1 p.m.

If you have yet to sign up, you can stop by Saturday with your boat and gear to do so.
