Osceola County Sheriff Stepping Down

The Osceola County sheriff is stepping down to take on a new role in the county.

The county Board of Commissioners met Tuesday morning to name Sheriff Justin Halladay as the new director of the Commission on Aging.

It’s been without a director since last year.

Halladay has been with the sheriff’s office for almost 23 years.

He started as a deputy before becoming undersheriff, and then sheriff at the start of this year.

He’ll start as the Commission of Aging on September 9, stepping down as the sheriff at that time.
