Christmas Cove Antique Apple Farm to Close After Nearly 42 Years in Business

“They were so nice. They were so accommodating, so hospitable. I mean they have the best apples ever,” said Mark Kroesch, a longtime visitor of the Christmas Cove Antique Apple Farm.

A favorite northern Michigan apple farm is closing after nearly 42 years in the business.

Christmas Cove Antique Apple Farm says all good things must come to an end.

The immediate closure is due to the owners’ health, both are in their 90’s.

They say they’ve enjoyed all the people they have been able to meet throughout the years.

They’re hoping someone can take over the apples and they’ve put part of the property for sale.

One man says he’s sad they’re closing, not only because of the apples but because of the relationship with the owners.

“Just not being able to see their faces Then of course all the apples. I’ve never seen more variety of apples and they’re always so educational. They also teach you about the different apples are and how to use them,” said Kroesch.
