Boat Sinks in Cadillac’s Clam Lake Canal

A boat started to sink Monday in the Clam Lake Canal, which runs between Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell.

No one was hurt, but the Cadillac Fire Department did have to act quickly in order to prevent contamination from leaking fuel.

The fire department says the stern of the 20-foot boat was under water.

The Cadillac Fire Department says a private hazardous materials company went out to take care of any problems this spill may have caused.
