9 Killed in Ohio Shooting; Second Mass Shooting in Less Than 24 Hours

Nine people are dead after a shooting in Ohio early Sunday morning.

And it’s the second mass shooting in less than 24 hours.

It happened in a historic part of Dayton known as the Oregon District.

Police say the shooter began firing shots around 1 a.m. Sunday, but were able to “quickly put an end to it.”

Police say the suspect was wearing armor and had extra magazines.

Officers on scene shot and killed the suspect. Sixteen people were injured.

The governor of Ohio ordered flags to be lowered to half-mast in honor of the victims,

President Trump says the FBI and local law enforcement are investigating the shooting, but do not have a motive for the shooter at this time.
