Massachusetts Investigates Death of Saoirse Kennedy Hill, RFK’s Granddaughter

The 22-year-old granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy has died at the family compound in Massachusetts, according to a family statement.

The cause of death is not clear yet.

The family says Saoirse Kennedy Hill died Thursday at the compound in Hyannis Port, where the Kennedy family has summered for generations.

Saoirse was the daughter of Robert and Ethel Kennedy’s fifth child, Courtney.

She was due to graduate from Boston College next year.

Her death is the latest in a long line of tragedies for the political dynasty, including Saoirse’s grandfather, Robert Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1968.

That was five years after his brother, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated.

Then John Kennedy Jr. died in a private plane crash in 1999.
