GM Halt Production at Warren Plant

GM says they will be halting production at its 78-year-old Warren Michigan plant.

GM announced last year it would suspend operations there and at four other North American plants as part of its business transformation.

There were over 200 workers employed at the plant, 60 of them will be transferred and 25 will retire.

The plant will no longer produce anything once it is done with its current line.

But the plant’s future depends on ongoing negotiations between the company and the United Auto Workers Union.
