Mass Shooting Causes Chaos at California Food Festival

A mass shooting at an annual food festival in California has killed at least three people, including a 6-year-old boy, and injured more than a dozen more.

Police say one suspect is dead, but they are looking for a possible second suspect that may have been involved.

It happened Sunday at the Gilroy Garlic Festival in Northern California.

The band Tin Man was just starting an encore when shots rang out, causing chaos as hundreds scrambled for safety.

According to the Associated Press, witnesses say there was at least one shooter who fired into the food area. Police say the suspected gunman cut through a fence to get in the festival, then opened fire. He appeared to be targeting people at random.

Police Chief Scot Smithee says police and officers in the area confronted the gunman in less than a minute. That suspect was shot and killed.

Investigators are still trying to figure out a motive.
