Hospice of Michigan Hosts Veteran Appreciation Ride in Big Rapids

Bikers revved up their engines Saturday to support Northern Michigan veterans.

Hospice of Michigan hosted the Veteran’s Appreciation Ride Saturday in Big Rapids.

The group took off in a rumble of thunder at noon and ended in Canadian Lakes.

Along the way, they stopped and visited veterans in four different local senior centers.

Some bikers, who are veterans themselves, delivered special pins and certificates to thank each veteran for his or her service and dedication to our country.

“What I’m here for is for them. Not for whatever I can get, you know. I just enjoy it. It’s a beautiful thing to be with all the other guys who are our brothers” said veteran James Hart

The Veteran’s Appreciation Ride is part of Hospice of Michigan’s dedication to the national “We Honor Veterans” program.
