What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Rendezvous in the Sault, Arts Festival, Summer Concerts
There’s plenty to do during the summer in Northern Michigan, from learning more about your area’s history to enjoying a local festival.
Courtney Sheffer with the West Michigan Tourist Association brings us details on What’s Happening in Northern Michigan.
You’ll find historical re-enactors, musicians, entertainers, and merchants who have set up camps and displays to transport you back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
Visit historic homes, learn how to spin and weave, and catch some good old-fashioned entertainment.
Visit the Village at Bay Harbor on July 26 & 27 for their 20th annual Bay Harbor Arts Festival.
It’s a celebration of the arts, music, wine, food, and entertainment for the entire family.
You’ll find artists tents along Main Street, and on the marina lawn.
They have lots of activities lined up for the festival as well, including music and dance performances, speed painting, theatre performances, sip and paint events, and more.
Enjoy some great local music on summer evenings in Cheboygan!
Their summer concert series brings a different musical performer to Washington Park at 7 p.m. every Thursday through the end of August.
Bring your own picnic to enjoy, or just a lawn chair to enjoy the live music with a great backdrop of Cheboygan in the summer.
