Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Children Sentenced to Prison
A man accusing of sexually assaulting children will spend years in prison.
Michael Bancroft has been sentenced to 6 to 10 years in prison.
Bancroft was originally charged with eight counts of child sex crimes.
A Child Protection Service petition claims he forced boys to perform oral sex on him, inappropriately touched children in their sleep, and made them dance naked.
He was accused of sexually assaulting at least three victims between 2007 and 2012.
But Bancroft and prosecutors reached a plea deal, dismissing eight counts.
He did plead no contest to three sex crime charges.
The no contest plea means Bancroft does not admit guilt, but accepts the punishment.
