Cadillac OASIS Receives Grant for Women’s Empowerment Group
OASIS Family Resource Center in Cadillac just received a grant to help survivors of domestic and sexual assault.
The Cadillac Area Women’s Giving Circle gave OASIS $5,000.
The money will be used for the Women’s Empowerment Group at OASIS.
It’s a group that helps women who are healing from domestic or sexual assault.
OASIS plans to use the money to help remove any barriers women may have that prevent them from attending group meetings.
“It’s really unmeasurable the amount that’s it’s going to be. To put a value on empowering women and letting them feel heard and valued and really discovering that peace together with other survivors, I just don’t think you can put a value on that,” said OASIS Executive Director Amber Herlein.
The Women’s Empowerment Group meets throughout the year, every Tuesday at 10 a.m.
