Traverse City Culver’s Hosts Cruise for a Cause to Benefit Disabled American Veterans

Hundreds of people and hundreds of cool cars came out for the Cruise for a Cause event at the Culver’s in Traverse City Monday.

The car show and music night benefitted the local Disabled American Veterans chapter.

More than 300 cars showed up in support of the cause plus an Elvis tribute singer and display from the Michigan State Police was there for everyone’s entertainment.

It cost money to display a car, and every entry plus a percentage of Culver’s purchases went to the charity.

Michigan State Police say the event beat their fundraising goal thanks to everyone in the community who came out.

“This town has amazing support for a lot of causes,” said Trooper David Prichard. “What’s better than our military and to support those who fought for us?”

The fundraiser supported the Disabled American Veteran’s transportation program, which gets vets to and from their appointments at downstate V.A. hospitals.
