Man Accused of Accidentally Shooting Friend in Montcalm County
A Washington man is accused of accidentally shooting a friend while breaking down a handgun in Montcalm County.
State police say the accidental shooting happened on Musson Road, near M-46 just before 7:30 Sunday night.
They say when the man was breaking down the gun, it accidentally fired, hitting another man in his right leg and passing through it and into his left leg.
He was taken to a Grand Rapids hospital and is expected to be O.K.
The man who had the gun was arrested for careless, reckless, negligent use of a firearm.
