Cattle Herd Infected With Bovine TB Discovered in Emmet County

We’ve learned another animal was infected with bovine tuberculosis in the northern Lower Peninsula.

Michigan’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Development discovered an infected cattle herd in Presque Isle County in May.

They investigated and found that another animal that was infected had been sold to a herd in Emmet County, also in May.

That animal was removed from the herd, which is now under quarantine.

The rest of the Presque Isle herd has also been removed.
