DTE Plans to Purchase New Wind Farms in Northern Michigan

DTE Energy is planning to buy wind farms in two Northern Michigan locations and one in the Upper Peninsula.

The company says purchasing the new wind parks will help lower their carbon emissions.

Michigan’s public service commission has approved the purchases according to DTE.

Two of the wind parks are in Isabella County.

Those locations are expected to start operating next year.

The third will be in in the Upper Peninsula’s Delta County.
