Michigan Health Officials Confirm State’s 46th Case of Measles

Michigan health officials have confirmed the state’s 46th measles case this year.

The Detroit Health Department says they confirmed the latest case in someone who recently returned to the Macomb County area from a trip overseas.

2019 has seen the highest number of measles cases since 1991 when Michigan confirmed 65 cases.

Most have been confined to the suburban Detroit area.

Though one was reported in Traverse City.
