BREAKING: Police Seek Vehicle After Shots Fired in Lake Co.

Deputies in Lake County are looking for a van.

They say someone inside the van fired shots at them early Friday morning.

The sheriff’s office says it started when they tried pulling the vehicle over for an improper license plate.

Deputies attempted to pull the van over but it took off.

That led them to chase the van.

Then someone from inside it began firing shots at deputies.

The van was last seen on West Centerline near M-37 just before 5 a.m.

The sheriff’s office say it’s a tan or silver minivan, possibly a Buick Terraza, with a license plate number that reads DXV5042.

They also say the van has a dim passenger side brake light.

Michigan State Police are assisting on this investigation hoping to find who did this as Troutarama kicks off Friday.

The sheriff’s office is asking if you have any information to call Lake County Central Dispatch at 231-745-2711.
