Baldwin Welcomes Start of Troutarama

Troutarama is back in Baldwin for its 63rd year.

The four day festival began Thursday and runs until Sunday.

They’ll be plenty of rides, games and food for people to enjoy.

There will also be free fishing for kids, the Scottville Clown Band will make an appearance and the big event is the parade through Baldwin on Saturday.

Those that have been working to put the festival together say it brings people from across Michigan to Baldwin for a weekend of fun.

“We’re a small town that swells in the summer time. We go from about 1,000 residents and our event brings in about 10,000 people. So a lot of seasonal residents, whether they’re from Chicago, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, we welcome everyone to come up this weekend and have a great time,” said Troutarama Vice President Seth Wenger.
