Search for Missing Toddler in Oscoda County Continues

Crews in Oscoda County are continuing their search Tuesday morning for a 2-year-old who disappeared Monday.

Police say Gabriella Vitale went missing while camping with her family in Comins Township.

Multiple sheriff’s offices, Michigan State Police and the DNR have been working with K-9 units and a state police helicopter to find Gabriella.

She went missing about a mile west of M-33 on Reber Road while she was camping with her family.

Police say the family was getting ready to leave when they lost track of Gabriella.

It is possible she may have autism, which is a main concern.

Monday search crews were able to locate a pink jacket that belongs to Gabriella. They believe she is currently wearing a grey shirt, pink bottoms and tennis shoes.

Police are asking you to keep a lookout, but avoid wooded areas as crews work.

They say if you do find clothing, do not touch it. Just call police.

They also ask that if you have any additional information to call the Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office.

The search was halted around 2 a.m. Tuesday.
