Don’t worry! You didn’t miss out on National Hot Dog day (well not yet that is)! The national holiday is taking place Wednesday, July 17th — so we are giving you the heads up to plan accordingly!
We made a stop at Uptown Dogs in Traverse City to see how they plan on celebrating the big day! Owner, Colbye O’Neil says, “We’ll be selling our hot dogs like normal but for our corporate people who want to do a luncheon tomorrow for over 100 dollars we’re going to offer 10% off.”
So if you’re extra hungry or have staff to feed they will get you hooked up! They have plenty of options to choose from. Savory, spicy, mild — you name it and they have it!
One of their iconic dogs is named after Northern Michigan — it’s called the Northerner. It hails from Northport and has asparagus, caramelized onion, bacon and a balsamic ketchup! The perfect amount of sweet and savory!
