Oscoda County Crews Searching for Missing 2-Year-Old
Police need your help finding a girl missing in Oscoda County.
Gabriella Vitale was reported missing around 8 Monday morning.
Her family says they lost track of her while camping.
Police have been searching a wooded area about a mile west of M-33 on Reber Road in Comins Township.
The Oscoda County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police and the DNR have spent the day trying to track her down.
Her family was getting ready to leave morning when Gabriella went missing.
A pink jacket she was wearing was found nearby, so police are concentrated the search in that area.
She also had on a grey shirt, pink bottoms and tennis shoes.
State police had a reminder for anyone trying to help them find her.
“I know we have a lot of public out there that wants to help and we may get to that point but right now, we’re asking people to stay out of the woods in this area because we have active canines working and we want to make sure the area is clean as possible when it comes to scent,” Lt. Travis House, Michigan State Police said.
Police say if you do find clothing, not to touch it but just to call police.
The search will continue and police say they hope to find her as soon as possible to reunite her with her family.
If you have any information about where Gabrielle could be, call the Oscoda Central Dispatch at (989) 826-3214.
