MTM On The Road: Spirit Day Camp at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs

A program in Northern Michigan is giving kids and adults with disabilities a chance to get the summer camp experience.

Challenge Mountain and Spirit Day Camp have been serving the community for the last 35 years.

Together, they put on a two week summer camp for kids and adults with developmental disabilities.

Campers get to explore Northern Michigan and participate in different activities every day like traveling to the U.P., Pirate’s Cove Adventure Park, and learning how to golf with First Tee Northern Michigan.

Regan and Stephanie caught up with the campers at Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs as they learned how to golf. They even had an ice cream social with the Young American Dinner Theater Performers.

Making this summer camp possible is due to the many donors and donations. They are currently in the process of raising money for next year’s camp.
