U.S. Women’s Soccer Team’s World Cup Win Inspiring Local Female Soccer Players

The U.S. Women’s Soccer Team is back in the states, celebrating their second straight World Cup Championship.

The team and fans celebrated the world championship with a Ticker Tape Parade and ceremony Wednesday in New York.

The women rolled through what’s known as the Canyon of Heroes under a blizzard of paper.

Fans, young and old, from all over lined the streets to show their support in this victory.

Some young local girls here in northern Michigan are saying this win is inspiring them.

“I’m wanting to go to that level and seeing them succeed at that level is very cool for me the watch something that I can look up to and have a role model,” said Tessa Petty, a local soccer player.
