Man Found Guilty of Intentionally Setting Fire to Emmet Co. Apartments

A jury found a man guilty of purposely setting fire to Emmet County apartments where he also lived.

Robert Jakeway was convicted of arson and other crimes Friday.

Police say Jakeway set a fire at the Camden Kade Rental Units in Alanson back in January.

In body-cam video from when the sheriff’s office responded to the call, you can see deputies breaking a window to get two dogs out.

Jakeway is set to be sentenced August 6.
