Manistee Foster Care Homeowner Charged with Elder Abuse

The owner of an adult foster care home in Manistee is charged with elder abuse.

The state attorney general says Danielle Baysinger gave drugs to someone without a prescription and without them knowing.

Baysinger is charged with fourth-degree vulnerable adult abuse, as well as felony drug charges.

The AG’s office says Baysinger gave the resident an anxiety medication.

They say the drug came from a former resident who had died.

Attorney General Dana Nessel formed an elder abuse task force earlier this year.
