Navy SEAL Accused of Posing in Photo with Dead Prisoner Found Not Guilty Of Murder

A seven-person military jury found a decorated Navy SEAL not guilty of killing a prisoner of war in Iraq.

Edward Gallagher was accused of stabbing to death a 15-year-old ISIS fighter in 2017

A dozen Navy SEALs testified in the case, with seven testifying they witnessed Gallagher stabbing the teen to death.

The two week trial saw several contradictory testimonies however, including one from Navy SEAL Kevin Scott who said he was the one that killed the Isis member and not Gallagher.

Gallagher’s wife, Andrea, says it was shameful of those who testified against her husband.

In total Gallagher faced seven charges.

Gallagher was found guilty of one minor crime, posing with the dead body.

The crime carries a maximum sentence of four months.

Gallagher already served nine months while awaiting his trial.
