The National Cherry Festival is in full swing in Traverse City.
That means there is still time to sign up for the Traverse City Track Club Cherry Mile with a new twist this year.
Happening Thursday night is Mile Night starting at 5 p.m. It’s a fast-paced competition of elite and high school runners. And there will be prize money awarded!
There are many different competitions to be a part of. If you have been practicing your cornhole skills at the back yard barbecue, then you might be ready to take on the cornhole tournament happening Thursday from noon to 4 p.m.
New this year to the National Cherry Festival is the butterfly experience from GT Butterfly House and Bug Zoo. People are able to feed and interact with hundreds of butterflies from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Clinch Park.
