U.S. Border Patrol Agents Investigated for Secret Facebook Group

An investigation is underway into a Facebook group of 9,500 U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents where jokes about migrant deaths and sexist remarks were found.

The Facebook group was dubbed “10-15,” which is border patrol code for “aliens in custody.”

A recent post about a migrant father and son who died after drowning joked that the photo must be fake because the bodies were so clean.

Some members of Congress say the Facebook posts show some agents have become desensitized and dangerous to the migrants in their care.

But President Trump is defending the border patrol saying those working on the border know what the migrants are like.

USCBP officials called the Facebook posts “Completely inappropriate.”

The Facebook group also contained lewd posts referring to Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Tuesday she was part of a congressional delegation that toured the detention facility in Clint, Texas.

She is calling for action against the agents and says the officers have bred a “violent culture.”
