Manton Library Project Receives $10,000 Donation
The Friends of the Manton Public Library are one step closer to breaking ground on a new building.
They just got a $10,000 donation from the Manton Rotary Club.
That means they have now raised more than $300,000 of the $500,000 they need.
The current Manton library is housed in a 100 year old building that’s served as the library since 1933.
“We have applied for a grant from the state and it looks very, very promising, so we’re hoping within the next month we’re going to have a confirmation of that, and if that comes true we will be able to start building this fall,” said group president Linda Kimbel.
