ESPN 3 Airs the Rabe Stone Skipping Competition

Mackinac Island will be in the national spotlight this Fourth of July for the fifty first WT Rabe Stone Skipping Competition.

10 professional skippers will try to break the world record of 88 skips, set by Kurt “Mountain Man” Steiner back in 2015.

It airs live on the fourth on ESPN 3.

The competition airs at 12:30, right after the Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest.

The ceremonial first stone will be skipped by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.

It’s happening at Windermere Point near the Iroquois Hotel.
