National Cherry Festival Hosts Hole-in-One Tournament to Win a Car

How’s your golf game?

Your swing could win you a new car at the National Cherry Festival hole in one contest.

The annual competition runs all this week at the Bay Meadows Family Golf Course.

Buy some balls and take your shot.

The 14 closest balls to the hole will be invited back to the green for a 176 yard drive for the final on Saturday.

The winner gets a two year lease on a Toyota Rav 4.

The competition benefits the Traverse City Junior Golf Association.

“These funds help Traverse City Junior Golf,” said Association President Todd Hursey. “We’ve given over $325,000 in scholarships over the last 25 years and we also provide [golf] clubs for kids and scholarships for kids who want to play golf.”

Two people already made it in the hole on Monday.

Festival-goers can take their best shots this week 4
