Hong Kong Unrest: Several Injured In Police-Protestor Clash
Several protestors and police officers in Hong Kong have been taken to the hospital after a clash in the city center Monday morning.
On the 22nd anniversary of Hong Kong’s shift from British to Chinese rule, protests over a controversial extradition bill reached a fever-pitch.
The bill has been suspended indefinitely by the Hong Kong government, but protesters continue to call for the resignation of City Chief Carrie Lam.
Monday morning protesters blocked off several roads, prompting police to take action.
The amount of injured protesters is not confirmed, but 13 police officers were injured after an unknown liquid was thrown at police, causing breathing difficulties.
Carrie Lam says she needs to spend more time listening to protesters.
