Grand Traverse Pie Company Debuts New Food Trailer at National Cherry Festival
It’s definitely been warm start to the National Cherry Festival, but it’s not too warm for a fresh slice of pie!
Grand Traverse Pie Company co-founder Mike Busley join us to tell us a little bit about the festival’s signature pie and the company’s newest addition!
They held a special ribbon cutting Monday morning for it.
Genevieve II is a brand new custom food trailer for the Grand Traverse Pie Company.
The name comes from the owner’s grandmother who was known to be the first pie maker of the family.
The trailer has two ovens, a grill and warmers to store their freshly baked products.
Grand Traverse Pie Company also served up its famous Vernors Cherry Pie to those at the ribbon cutting and they are looking forward to baking other comfort foods this summer like pot-pies and sandwiches.
“We started this process in February, designing this trailer. So to have to finally have it done for the Cherry Festival is perfect timing, we are thrilled and it looks like it’s going to be a great day,” said Busley.
Grand Traverse Pie Company will be selling its signature cherry crumb pie and pie slices all week at the National Cherry Festival Food Court.
