National Cherry Festival Hosts Classic Cars Cruise

Friday night cool cars took off around Grand Traverse and Antrim County for the Old Town Classic Cruise.

Colorful classics met up at the Turtle Creek Hotel for an almost 40 mile cruise up to Kewadin and back.

The tradition attracts sports cars, cruisers, tricked out rides and more.

They all get together ahead of the Old Town Classic Car Show on Sunday at the National Cherry Festival.

Organizers say there will be 200 plus cars with some very interesting ones on display.

“Just looking at some of the cars that have already pre-registered, I know there is going to be a really cool pumper fire truck on there on Sunday, so I’m looking forward to that and then it’s just to see the community come together we have a lot of local car clubs that help us with the event too,” said organizer Kacy Smith.

The Old Town Classic Car Show is happening Sunday at 11 a.m. and prizes will be awarded at 12:30.
