MTM On The Road: Engineers Day 2019 Sault Ste. Marie

Getting a behind-the-scenes look at the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie only happens once a year, on Engineers Day!

The public is allowed in the Soo Locks to walk around and see the freighters up close on Friday, June 28. The annual event brings thousands of people into the area to celebrate the engineers that built the locks and the men and women who maintain them today.

Engineers Day is the opportunity of a lifetime where people can walk across the mighty Soo Locks walls and explore the buildings that make up this engineering marvel.

Engineer’s Day festivities are held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and the whole weekend has different events. Learn more at saultstemarie.com.

Wake up with Regan Blissett and Stephanie Adkins as they preview the experience!
