Mueller to Testify on July 17 About His Investigative Report

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has agreed to testify before lawmakers following a subpoena from House Democrats.

On July 17 the House Intelligence and Judiciary Committees will question Mueller about his 22 month investigation into President Trump.

In April the special counsel released a redacted version of the investigation report.

But since then Mueller has been reluctant to testify publicly.

In a letter accompanying the subpoenas, the committee chairmen said they believe it’s important for the public to hear directly from Mueller about his investigation and findings.

Mueller’s testimony will come as Democrats continue to weigh whether to move forward with impeachment proceedings against President Trump.
