2019 Walk For Wishes in Traverse City

Make-A-Wish has granted more than 10,000 wishes in the state of Michigan since 1984.

Hundreds of people celebrated that in Traverse City today with the first ever Walk For Wishes event.

Elena Kolarevic got her wish granted four years ago. She said, “It’s been a really great showing to support and show that there are kids in Northern Michigan that still need wishes up here and wishes still need to be granted in this area.”

President and CEO of Make-A-Wish Michigan Karen Davis said, “One of the most beautiful things about Make a Wish Michigan is that our wish families are our kids and our parents understand and get to know a sense of strength from realizing that so many people in their community care about them and are cheering for their kids, and want to make a positive difference in their lives.”

You can donate and help grant a wish to more Michigan kids by going to the Make-A-Wish website.
