Munson Manistee Files Unfair Labor Practice Charge Against Nurses Association

Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital says the Michigan Nurses Association violated federal law during contract negotiations.

The hospital says they have filed an unfair labor practice charge against the association, saying they engaged in behavior that was to frustrate and delay the bargaining process.

The hospital says this caused nurses to be denied a wage increase for the last two years.

Earlier this month we told you that the union was accusing the Manistee hospital of making illegal changes to nurses pay cycles and health care benefits, also claiming that violated a federal labor law.

The hospital and nurses have been locked in labor negotiations since October of 2017.
