MTM On The Road: The Doherty Big House in Clare

The Doherty Big House in Clare has been in the Doherty family for 120 years—and now anyone is able to experience its history with a new, modern feel.

When it was first built in 1899, it was the home of Senator A.J. Doherty. Now it belongs to Jim Doherty, the great-grand kid of A.J. Doherty.

The house is available to rent on their website here, or on Airbnb.

It can house up to 24 people; making it a great home for large family parties, bridal parties or even a weekend getaway.

They have five bedrooms on the second floor and the attic is a dormitory style with 9 beds.

Jim even offers his cooking services and will go grocery shopping for guests.

Wake up with Regan Blissett and Stephanie Adkins as they take a tour of the Doherty Big House!
