EPA Announced Proposal to Roll Back Regulations on Energy Production

The EPA announced a proposal to roll back President Obama era regulations on energy production.

The proposal would get rid of the regulations which favored using natural gas and reducing a reliance on coal.

Now, the EPA would leave it up to individual states to control the emission rates of coal powered plants.

A number of states are expected to sue.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says she opposes the administration’s new “affordable clean energy” rule.

She says she will work will other states to challenge the regulation and address the imminent threat posed by climate change.
