MTM On The Road: Stand Up For Great Lakes Paddles Across Lake Erie

Stand Up For Great Lakes is a nonprofit organization that raises money and awareness for not only the Great Lakes, but all rivers, lakes and streams.

In 2015, Kwin Morris, Joe Lorenz and Jeff Guy started their journey by crossing Lake Michigan on paddle boards. Since then, they have crossed Lake Huron and Lake Superior.

Tuesday they begin to cross their fourth Great Lake—Lake Erie—off the list.

The trek is 80 miles, leaving from Belle Isle and arriving in Sandusky, Ohio. It will take more than 24 hours to paddle through rough waves and river currents and dodge toxic algae blooms.
